Chatvoxo AI works on every plan and spends the balance. Your own key opens on Pro, at $5 per site each month, and Chatvoxo does not charge per reply.
Both paths use the same window. The visitor does not see a difference. The difference is who gets the bill, and who holds the key.
Chatvoxo AI
On the free plan this is the only AI path. It can stay on in Pro as well. You add balance to the account, and replies come out of it. The price is per token: $0.30 per million input tokens and $1.20 per million output tokens. A short reply is about $0.0006. You do not open a separate provider account. The model and the limits are Chatvoxo's setting.
When the balance is empty the AI cannot answer. The message stays in the queue and an agent can still write. The balance does not expire. The smallest top-up is $5.
Your own key
This path needs Pro. Pro is $5 per site each month. You paste the key on that site's AI screen. OpenAI, Claude, Gemini, Mistral, and the other providers in the list connect there. The reply goes out on your key and your account. Chatvoxo does not take balance for that reply. The brand line under the window is removed too.
The key's bill, quota, and model choice are yours. The key is stored encrypted in the panel. A wrong model makes replies slow or expensive. A fast, inexpensive model is enough for support on most sites. You change it in the site settings. You do not paste the script again.
A short choice
- A few hundred short replies a month, and no provider account to run: Chatvoxo AI.
- You already pay a provider, or reply volume would outrun the balance: Pro and your own key.
- Both at once is fine. One site on your key, another on the balance. The plan belongs to the site. The balance belongs to the account.
